What this extension does

AI to Glorified Autocomplete is a browser extension that replaces AI hype terminology on web pages with satirical alternatives. It modifies the visible text on pages you visit, purely for entertainment.

Data collection

This extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It has no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, and no server-side component.

Data stored locally

The extension stores the following preferences on your device using Chrome's local storage API:

• Enabled/disabled state — whether the extension is active.
• Highlight preference — whether replaced text is visually highlighted.
• Site blocklist — hostnames where you have disabled the extension.

This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server, third party, or external service. You can clear it at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage in Chrome settings.

Permissions

• storage — to save your preferences locally.
• activeTab — to reload the current tab when you toggle settings, and to read the current site's hostname for the per-site blocklist.
• Host access (*://*/*) — to run the text replacement content script on web pages. The extension reads page text to find and replace terms. It does not extract, store, or transmit any page content.

Third-party services

None. This extension operates entirely on your device.
